Besides many collectors and indie bottlers, we also have quite a few distilleries represented at this year’s Gathering. The first one to introduce is the Israeli Milk & Honey Distillery, based in Tel Aviv.

Production started in 2014, which makes it still a reasonably young distillery. But due to the climate in Israel, the whisky matures 2 to 2.5 times faster than Scotch. So don’t be fooled by the age, because this whisky has a rich and mature taste.

A unique aspect is that M&H experiments with maturing whisky in different places, but not so much in areas you would expect. An excellent example of where they mature whisky is the Dead Sea, which is the lowest place on earth!

Especially for the occasion, brand ambassador Shilton Almeida will be joining the Gathering. So don’t hesitate to ask him all about this unique distillery while you enjoy a delicious Israeli whisky.
